Sentiment toward XRP has shifted toward caution in recent weeks, with many traders expressing a bearish outlook. Crypto analyst Steph Is Crypto, however, has urged the community to take a wider perspective by reviewing a multi-year price chart starting from 2020.
Crypto analyst highlights key XRP support, warns bearish sentiment may be premature
The long-term trend line since 2020
In a recent video shared on X, Steph Is Crypto analyzed XRP’s monthly chart and identified a significant upward trend line that has supported the cryptocurrency’s price since 2020. He emphasized that this line has consistently acted as a launching point for substantial rallies whenever XRP touched it over the past several years.
Steph Is Crypto noted that XRP once again bounced off this trend line during a notable candle in August, mirroring previous moments that preceded major price surges. According to the analyst, every historic test of this long-term support has been followed by aggressive buying interest and sharp upward moves in the market.
Steph Is Crypto stated that as long as XRP maintains its position above this trend line, it remains technically strong, and he finds the widespread bearishness difficult to understand.
At the time of the recording, XRP traded at $1.27. Steph explained that even a decline of 16% to 17% from that level would keep the long-term trend structure intact. He also highlighted the possibility that a pullback as low as $1.05 could establish a double-bottom formation, which remains a bullish technical signal.
Short-term support and potential downside
Analyzing the daily chart, Steph Is Crypto identified a support zone for XRP between $1.25 and $1.29, a range that has been relevant since February 2026. After briefly dipping below this support and retesting it from below, XRP moved back above the zone. The analyst considers this area critical; as long as XRP closes above this range, he sees little justification for a bearish stance in the near term.
He specified that only if XRP closes one or two daily candles under $1.25 would he expect a move lower, towards $1.20. Until such a breakdown occurs, he maintains that XRP is supported at current levels.
| $1.25–$1.29 | Daily support, active since Feb 2026 | Continued support may spark recovery |
| $1.20 | Next potential support if lower zone breaks | Price could move lower if breached |
| $1.05 | Trend line test, possible double bottom formation | Could signal bullish reversal |
Analyst’s overall position
Steph Is Crypto concluded his update with a clear stance: he remains bullish on XRP for both the mid-term and long-term outlooks. For him, the historic trend line remains the anchor of his analysis. Even if volatility pushes XRP toward $1.05, he views such levels as potential buying opportunities rather than signals to exit the market.
The analyst stressed that XRP’s ongoing adherence to this structural support has historically preceded strong upward trends. Steph Is Crypto continues to question the prevailing bearish sentiment, arguing there is no convincing technical reason to expect a breakdown as long as the key trend line remains intact.
