GeoPark Wins Corralera Noreste Block in Public Bidding Round

01:50 PM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- GeoPark (GPRK) was awarded the Corralera Noreste Block in the Neuquen Basin of Argentina in a public bidding round launched by energy firm GyP, the company said Wednesday. The award provides GeoPark access to 26,900 gross acres for a total committed cost, including entry bonus, of $95 million, the company said. GeoPark will hold a 90% working interest and will operate the block, while GyP will hold the remaining interest, the company added. The companies will execute a joint venture agreement, under which Corralera NE carries a 12% royalty and provides for a first exploration period of four years, with provision for four additional years, according to the company.
