Cybertruck Wind Down Underscores Tesla's Commitment to Robotaxis -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/11/06 16:041104 ET - Tesla plans to wind down Cybertruck production in mid-2027 as the company pivots its focus toward Cybercab output. "This announcement underscores Tesla's commitment to Robotaxi and is a bullish signal following the recent progress we have already seen in Austin," Morgan Stanley analysts say in a research note. "Reallocating Cybertruck capacity puts additional manufacturing resources behind that momentum and signals management's confidence in the Cybercab/robotaxi opportunity." The analysts note that Tesla CEO Elon Musk didn't specify future plans for Cybertruck production. Shares are up 4.3%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
