Target Well Positioned to Match Wall Street's Q3 Expectations, Oppenheimer Says

MT newswireMT newswire2026/11/03 16:01
12:01 PM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Target (TGT) is well positioned to at least match Q3 Wall Street expectations for 3.2% comparable-sales growth and EPS of $2.05, with the company's turnaround efforts gaining traction, Oppenheimer said in a Tuesday note. Target could follow through on some Q3 upside, but will likely maintain its conservative tone in the guidance amid a more uncertain consumer backdrop, according to the note. In the short term, investors expect the company's fundamental momentum to continue through Q4, Oppenheimer said. But for 2027 and beyond, investors remain skeptical of Target's ability to lap comparable sales and to fuel further margin improvements from a tariff adjusted 2026 estimated level of about 5.1%, the note said. Target is scheduled to report its Q3 results on Nov. 18. Oppenheimer maintained its outperform rating with a $180 price target. Price: 153.93, Change: -4.45, Percent Change: -2.81
