04:35 AM EST, 11/03/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney (DIS) is moving toward thousands of job cuts as the company asks some managers to target 20% in annual cost savings, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people familiar with the matter. According to the report, the savings may come from job cuts and other expense reductions, with some divisions, including theme parks, TV channels and the film studio, facing a greater impact. Chief Executive Josh D'Amaro plans to channel some of the savings back into film and TV content, technology, theme parks and cruise operations, Bloomberg added. Walt Disney did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
