Oshkosh Unit Partners With Grid Aero to Support Autonomous Aircraft Production

09:19 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Oshkosh's (OSK) defense unit has partnered with autonomous aircraft developer Grid Aero to prepare the latter's Lifter aircraft for large-scale military logistics production, Oshkosh said Monday. The industrial technology company said that Oshkosh Defense is expected to support Grid Aero in adapting the aircraft's design for manufacturing, planning production, and developing its supply chain. The companies also plan to use Oshkosh's Wisconsin manufacturing facilities and workforce to build the aircraft, Oshkosh said. The company said the initial phase involves production engineering, manufacturing design, and discussions with potential customers.
