06:23 AM EST, 11/02/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SpaceX (SPCX) is in talks with EchoStar (ECHO) to acquire Boost Mobile or access its network to launch a US wireless service, The Washington Post reported Monday, citing people familiar with the negotiations. Access to Boost Mobile's network could help SpaceX enter the $235 billion US wireless market, subject to carrier approvals, according to the report. The discussions follow SpaceX's recent agreement to acquire $8 billion in wireless spectrum licenses to expand its mobile connectivity ambitions, the report added. SpaceX and EchoStar didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally. Texas Governor-Elect: Data centers must be suspended until measures to protect the interests of the people are introduced

The newly elected governor of Texas, Hinojosa, publicly stated that she despises the way data centers "take advantage of Texans" and that any measures must be paused before the introduction of new data centers. She also expressed willingness to collaborate with tech giants such as Elon Musk but emphasized that "it must be on our terms." Goldman Sachs previously warned that the current "blue wave" could result in a suspension order affecting the expansion capacity of approximately 45% of data centers across the United States, with Texas accounting for about 25%. Other states are also rushing to follow Texas' lead.
