08:54 AM EDT, 10/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks were mixed premarket Wednesday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) retreating 0.5% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) up 0.1%. Unilever (UL) shares were down more than 3% pre-bell, even after the company reported higher Q3 turnover.
