05:08 PM EDT, 10/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Visa (V) reported stronger-than-expected fiscal fourth-quarter results late Tuesday as payments volume increased from a year earlier. The payments giant's adjusted earnings per share rose to $3.48 in the September quarter from $2.98 a year earlier. The consensus on FactSet was for non-GAAP EPS of $3.44. Revenue rose 13% to $12.14 billion, above Wall Street's $12.09 billion view. Payments volume advanced 9.5% on a constant-dollar basis to $4.08 trillion, driven by gains in both credit and debit card spending. Both cross-border and processed transactions grew by double-digit percentages. Service revenue increased 14% to $5.26 billion, while data processing sales climbed 16% to $6.25 billion. Visa expects fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS to increase by a low-double digit to low-teens percentage figure on a constant-dollar basis. It sees adjusted net revenue rising by a low double digit. Analysts expect non-GAAP EPS of $15.04 for the fiscal year and nearly 11% annual sales growth to $50.83 billion. For the ongoing three-month period, Visa expects adjusted EPS to grow at the low end of mid-teens and net revenue to rise by low-double digits. Wall Street is looking for EPS of $3.62 and nearly 12% year-over-year sales growth to $12.18 billion. Visa shares declined 1.4% in after-hours trading. They have gained 15% this year through Tuesday's close. Rival Mastercard (MA) is scheduled to report its quarterly results Thursday.
