Inflation Likely Remains Dominant Part of Fed's Dual Mandate -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/10/27 06:400640 GMT - Inflation is likely to remain on the dominant side of the Federal Reserve's dual mandate, says Rushabh Amin at Allspring Global Investments in a note. A precondition for this assumption is that there are no large surprises in labor market conditions, the portfolio manager says. "Core PCE inflation may offer little relief in the near term as unfavorable base effects keep inflation elevated, although this should reverse meaningfully in the first half of 2027," Amin says. The Fed's dual mandate is to promote maximum employment and stable prices. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
