Whirlpool's North America Sales Continue Sliding -- Market Talk
Dow Jones2026/10/26 20:051605 ET - Whirlpool's North American sales are continuing to slide. The company reports an 8.3% decline in 3Q net sales from its North American major domestic appliances segment, fueling a broader 8.8% sales decline across the company. Whirlpool also cuts its full-year sales guidance by $500 million to around $14.5 billion following the 3Q results. The company has been grappling with soft demand fueled by a weak housing market and low consumer confidence, made worse by a heavy debt burden limiting its financial flexibility. Earlier this year, Whirlpool suspended its dividend. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
