Venezuela's daily oil production rises to 1.252 million barrels, reaching a multi-month high

(1) On October 23, Eduardo Pinto, Vice President of Production at the Venezuelan state oil company PDVSA, stated during an inspection of oil projects that Venezuela's daily oil production has reached 1.252 million barrels, marking the highest record in recent months. On a national television program, Pinto said: “Today we achieved a daily output of 1.252 million barrels, which is the highest level we have reached in recent months.” (2) Rodríguez, Venezuela’s acting president, who participated in the joint activities of Venezuelan and US oil workers, stated that on October 23, the oil fields in Zulia State in western Venezuela also set a new record, with daily production reaching 115,000 barrels; Caracas hopes to increase this figure to 120,000 barrels by the end of the year. (3) Rodríguez linked the increase in production to recent bilateral agreements signed between Venezuela and the United States in the oil and gas sector, noting that 17 contracts have been signed within the framework of this agreement, including 8 for the development of new oil fields.
