Jazz Pharmaceuticals' Ziihera Shows 3-Year Survival Benefit in Gastroesophageal Cancer

10:50 AM EDT, 10/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Jazz Pharmaceuticals (JAZZ) said updated phase 3 results showed nearly 40% of patients with HER2-positive locally advanced or metastatic gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma were alive after three years when treated with Ziihera, tislelizumab and chemotherapy. Ziihera plus chemotherapy also delivered a statistically significant and clinically meaningful overall survival benefit, reducing the risk of death by 24% compared with trastuzumab plus chemotherapy, Jazz said Friday in a statement. Median overall survival reached 27 months with Ziihera plus tislelizumab and chemotherapy versus 19.6 months with trastuzumab plus chemotherapy, the company said. The safety profiles of both Ziihera-containing regimens were consistent with the first interim analysis, supporting the tolerability of prolonged treatment, the company said.
