1. Natural gas power generation in Australia's main electricity grid has fallen to its third-lowest third-quarter average level in more than twenty years, mainly due to a surge in battery storage capacity, which has reduced demand for this fossil fuel.2. The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) released its "Quarterly Energy Dynamics" report on Friday, showing that during the three months ending in September, the average natural gas power generation in the National Electricity Market was 881 megawatts, marking the lowest third-quarter record since 2000.3.
