SK Hynix's Solidigm Drops IPO Review

MT newswireMT newswire2026/10/22 23:53
07:53 PM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SK Hynix's (SKHY) US-based memory unit, Solidigm, said on Thursday it has discontinued its review of potential pre-IPO and IPO options, citing recent capital market conditions and share price trends. The company said the decision does not reflect any change in its growth prospects or investment needs, adding it needed to reassess whether an IPO was the best option for SK Hynix and its existing shareholders at this time. The IPO had been considered as a way to fund a new US fab to meet rising AI memory demand. SK Hynix will continue to assess investment timing, scale and financing methods, including alternatives to support Solidigm's growth.
