Honda Motor, Mitsubishi Motors Collaborate to Develop Pickup Truck for Asean market

01:58 PM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor (HMC) said Thursday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Mitsubishi Motors to develop a new Honda model based on the Mitsubishi Triton pickup truck for the Asean market. The deal will enable Honda to expand its product lineup in the Asean market and support Mitsubishi to ramp production volume at its Thailand plant, Honda Motor said.
