US 5-Year TIPS Auction High Yield Rises From Previous Auction, Demand Lower

01:08 PM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Treasury's 5-year TIPS auction hit a high yield of 2.367% on Thursday, up from the 1.955% high in the previous auction. The bid to cover ratio for the auction was 2.41, below the 2.61 ratio in the previous auction. Dealers represented 51.22% of the bids, with direct bidders at 18.27% and indirect bidders at 30.51%. For takedown, dealers took 5.53%, with direct bidders at 32.44% and indirect bidders at 62.04%.
