DiaMedica Therapeutics Reaches Patient Enrollment Milestone for Phase 2/3 Trial of DM199 in Acute Ischemic Stroke

10:11 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- DiaMedica Therapeutics (DMAC) has enrolled the 200th patient under the phase 2/3 trial of DM199 in patients with acute ischemic stroke, reaching the specified enrollment milestone for the trial's planned interim analysis, the company said Thursday. Under the trial's protocol, the independent Data Safety Monitoring Board will conduct the interim analysis after the trial's first 200 participants complete their 90-day follow-up, and then assess the need to change the trial's sample size, DiaMedica said. Should the trial continue, the final patient count would range from 300 to 728, with enrollment to continue while the interim analysis is ongoing and the 200th patient completes the follow-up period, according to the statement.
