KBR Wins Contracts to Upgrade Ammonia Plants in Germany and Austria

08:08 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- KBR (KBR) said Thursday it won contracts to upgrade two ammonia plants operated by AGF Nitrogen in Germany and Austria. The projects cover a 550-metric-ton-per-day plant in Linz, Austria, and a 1,900-metric-ton-per-day facility in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany, the company said. KBR said it will provide technology licensing, engineering, equipment, and catalysts, while modernizing steam reforming sections using its proprietary KRES technology. Financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
