Higher Rates Weigh on Blackstone -- WSJ
Dow Jones2026/10/22 12:04By AnnaMaria Andriotis
Blackstone's core businesses are feeling the sting of higher interest rates.
The firm's net realizations, which reflect proceeds from sales of assets, fell 34% from a year prior. Realizations dropped 49% from a year ago in its private equity division and 21% in its real estate unit.
The quarter began with strong dealmaking activity, including initial public offerings. But sales of privately-held companies slowed after interest rates increased.
Shares fell nearly 2% in premarket trading.
