Tesla to Launch Cybercab Robotaxi Service in Dallas Next Month

04:29 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Tesla (TSLA) plans to launch its Cybercab robotaxi service in Dallas next month after expanding its Austin fleet tenfold since its launch about a month ago, Chief Executive Elon Musk said Wednesday during the company's Q3 earnings call. The company aims to launch in additional cities and expand its robotaxi service hours, fleet size and operating conditions before year-end, targeting 24-hour operations, subject to regulatory approvals and software development, the company said. Tesla expects to begin Cybercab deliveries by year-end, with most vehicles remaining in its ride-hailing fleet. The vehicle has 50% fewer parts than other Tesla models, enabling easier production scaling. Tesla executives expect its robotaxi business to become a significant revenue and profit contributor in 2027, with a greater impact beginning in Q2 and a major contribution by the Q3 or Q4, the company added.
