Rumors in the market suggest that eBay China initiated a new round of personnel adjustments this week, involving major offices such as Shanghai, with the layoff rate in China possibly reaching 80%. In response, an eBay spokesperson stated that the company conducted global personnel adjustments yesterday, and China was part of this process; the figure of 80% is speculation, and according to the CEO, this adjustment affected 9% of employees worldwide. The spokesperson also noted that although there is a lot of related information online, it can be confirmed that eBay has not closed its China R&D center nor withdrawn from the Chinese market; activities targeting sellers are still progressing steadily, and the annual auto parts seller summit will be held in December.
