Autodesk Well Positioned to Capitalize on Construction Market Digitization, Oppenheimer Says

01:10 PM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Autodesk (ADSK) is well positioned to capitalize on the construction market digitization, while investors debate on AI risk, go-to-market disruption timeline and MaintainX integration, Oppenheimer said in a note Wednesday. The company pushed back on AI concerns, noting connected workflows, domain intelligence and entrenched position across the architecture, engineering and construction industry make it difficult for AI-built point solutions to displace, the firm noted. Customers haven't used tools such as Astra or software decompilers as negotiating leverage, as security, intellectual property and operational complexity limit appetite for replacement, the firm said. Sales productivity has improved off the bottom following the go-to-market restructuring, though Western Europe still lags, Oppenheimer said, adding that billings should reflect the recovery before revenue, which flows through over 12 to 36 months. Autodesk expects MaintainX integration to move faster than construction did, though resellers don't expect access until the second half of 2027, the firm said. Oppenheimer kept its outperform rating on the stock with a $300 price target. Price: 246.54, Change: +0.96, Percent Change: +0.39
