Belo Sun Mining Receives Brazilian Court Decision on Suspension of Project License

09:11 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Belo Sun Mining Corp (BSX.TO) received a decision from the Brazilian Supreme Court to suspend the installation license for the Volta Grande gold project in the country. The license will be suspended until Belo Sun and Brazil's National Foundation of Indigenous Peoples reach an agreement during settlement hearings, the company said Wednesday. Belo Sun is confident that it will reach an agreement, while reiterating its commitment to refrain from carrying out any physical interventions at the project site. The company's shares, up 243% over the past 12 months, closed down CA$0.01 to CA$1.15 Tuesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
