Nvidia Planning to Expand Global Manufacturing Capacity Via New Deals With Supply Chain Partners

07:19 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Nvidia (NVDA) is planning to expand its global manufacturing capacity through new agreements with a group of supply chain partners, the company said Wednesday. Nvidia said it targets to raise substrate capacity for its products by 250% over the next three years through agreements with partners like Ibiden, Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Unimicron Technology. In addition, Nvidia and Amkor Technology (AMKR) are planning to expand advanced packaging capacity in South Korea, aiming for more than a 300% increase in interposer wafer capacity by the end of 2028, the company said. For semiconductor testing, the company said it plans to double capacity from 2026 to 2027 through buildouts in the US, Taiwan and Singapore. Nvidia has a $1.1 billion capacity reservation advance to King Yuan Electronics to back new US testing facilities, the company said. Lastly, Nvidia and Siliconware Precision Industries are looking to expand optical engine manufacturing capacity in Taiwan by up to 15 times by mid-2027, Nvidia said.
