Schmid Agrees to $28.1 Million Deal to Expand Customer Manufacturing in Malaysia

06:34 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Schmid (SHMD) has reached an agreement with one of its key customers on an equipment order valued at more than 25 million euros ($28.1 million) to support the expansion of high-density interconnect manufacturing in Malaysia, the company said Wednesday. The planned expansion is meant to address the requirements of future electronic applications, the company said. Schmid will provide manufacturing technologies with the aim of enabling the customer to expand its production capabilities, the company said. Shares of the company were up more than 10% in recent Wednesday premarket activity.
