SpaceX Stock Rallies, Tesla Rises Modestly on Talk of Merger -- WSJ

Tesla shares rose 1.8% ahead of the opening bell while SpaceX stock surged 10% after Elon Musk said his two companies were exploring a possible mega-merger.
The boards of Tesla and SpaceX have formed special committees to discuss the deal, whose terms still need to be worked out, Musk said during a SpaceX quarterly earnings call yesterday. Such a tie-up would combine the world's foremost space-launch-and-satellites business with its second-largest electric-car manufacturer, at a time when Musk is reorganizing both companies around AI.
