Surrozen Raises $95.1 Million in Private Placement

05:24 PM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Surrozen Inc (SRZN) raised $95.1 million in gross proceeds from the second and final tranche of its March 2025 private placement, extending its expected cash runway into 2029, the company said Tuesday. The closing followed US Food and Drug Administration clearance of the investigational new drug application for SZN-8141 on Oct. 2. Surrozen plans to advance the drug into its Phase 1b/2a DUET study and begin clinical development of SZN-8143. The company expects initial SZN-8141 study data in the second half of 2027, with first-patient dosing planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.
