MT newswireMT newswire2026/10/20 17:01
01:01 PM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- NV Gold (NVX.V) on Tuesday said assay results from 10 of the 17 drillholes at the Slumber gold project in Nevada are starting to outline a "contiguous" body of mineralization that remains open in several dimensions. The reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign, which tested the eastern DeLong Ridge and Awakening Zones, also featured "highly encouraging" gold values, with grades stronger than the holes reported from the Slumber Zone to the south, a statement said. The drilling program is expected to continue into November or later. NV Gold expects to complete 10-15 additional RC holes, primarily targeting the southern extension of the DeLong Ridge. "Assay results from this latest group of analyses builds the picture of an emerging significant oxide gold discovery in Nevada. Our drilling to date in 2026 has been highly encouraging with initial strong results in the Awakening Area and now along and south of DeLong Ridge. . . . To date, this program is considered highly successful and the company has engaged two diamond core drills for its planned winter drilling campaign," said NV Gold Chief Executive Officer John Watson. The company's shares were last seen down CA$0.01, to CA$1.11, on the TSX Venture Exchange. Price: 1.11, Change: -0.01, Percent Change: -0.89
