Deep Fission Signs 25-Year Power Supply Deal at Kansas Industrial Park

08:37 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Deep Fission (FISN) said Tuesday it signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with the Great Plains Development Authority to supply electricity to tenants at a Kansas industrial park where the company is developing a nuclear reactor. The first phase targets 150 megawatts of capacity with commercial operations starting Sept. 30, 2028, and later phases would expand the total to 2,000 megawatts by 2031 if demand grows, the company said. The deal replaces a December 2025 letter of intent, carries no minimum purchase obligation, and lets the authority pass its buying obligations to qualifying tenants, Deep Fission said. Shares of the company were up 3.8% in Tuesday premarket activity.
