Hilton to Move Listing to Nasdaq From NYSE

Hilton Worldwide Holdings is moving its stock listing to the Nasdaq Stock Market from the New York Stock Exchange.
Hilton on Tuesday said its shares will begin trading on Nasdaq on Nov. 5 under its current HLT symbol.
Hilton's move would position the McLean, Va., hotel company to join the Nasdaq-100, an index of the 100 largest nonfinancial companies listed on the exchange. Hilton sports a market capitalization of nearly $78 billion, which would put around number 60 on the current roster.
Joining the Nasdaq-100 could drive the buying of Hilton shares by funds that track the index.
The NYSE has been Hilton's home since it returned to the public market in 2013. In 1946 its predecessor company, Hilton Hotels, i became the first hotel company to be listed on the NYSE, where it remained until it was taken private in 2007.
Retail giant Walmart shifted its listing to Nasdaq from the NYSE late last year.
