Aeva Technologies' 4D LiDAR Receives Australian Certification for Speed Verification

07:39 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aeva Technologies' (AEVA) 4D LiDAR received Australian regulatory certification for use as a secondary speed verification device in Sensys Gatso's automated traffic enforcement systems for public-road deployment, the company said Tuesday. The certification advances the companies' work toward commercial deployment in Australia of systems combining Aeva's Atlas 4D LiDAR with Sensys Gatso's radar and cameras, allowing independent speed measurements across multiple lanes to verify radar readings. Aeva and Sensys Gatso expect the certification to support future traffic enforcement opportunities in Australia and other markets, the company added. Aeva Technologies shares were down 1.3% in premarket activity.
