Dime Commercial Bancshares to Buy ES Bancshares in $58 Million Deal

06:46 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Dime Commercial Bancshares (DCOM) agreed to acquire ES Bancshares in a deal valued at about $58 million to expand its presence in Staten Island and Brooklyn, New York, the company said Tuesday. Under the deal, Dime will issue 720,000 shares and pay $30 million in cash to Empire shareholders, valuing the deal at $8.39 per share. The acquisition is expected to generate about 3.5% EPS accretion, with about 2% tangible book value dilution and an earn-back period of less than three years. The transaction is set to close in Q1 2027, the company said.
