Sources told Reuters that Nvidia has warned its partners and customers that there is no guarantee the orders will be fulfilled as demand from Chinese companies outstrips its planned production. The RTX PRO 5500 is an export-compliant chip, according to the report. The total orders from Chinese customers have exceeded 6 million, while Nvidia had indicated that it only produce up to 3 million RTX PRO 5500 chips in 2027, the sources said.
