Alvotech Says FDA Approves New Manufacturing Process for Simlandi; Shares Rise Pre-Bell

05:33 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alvotech (ALVO) said Tuesday the US Food and Drug Administration has approved a new manufacturing process for Simlandi, its biosimilar to Humira. The new process will produce the same amount in fewer batches without changing the upstream manufacturing scale, the company said. The increased output is expected to free up manufacturing capacity for other products in Alvotech's biosimilar portfolio. Shares of Alvotech were 8% higher in Tuesday premarket activity.
