Huntington Ingalls Industries' Unit Wins $99 Million Contract Modification for Destroyer Sea Trials

11:03 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Huntington Ingalls Industries' (HII) Ingalls Shipbuilding unit won a $99 million contract modification from the US Navy to run sea trials for the Zumwalt-class destroyer Lyndon Johnson, the company said Monday. The ship has been at the yard since January 2022 for combat systems work and is also being fitted with the Conventional Prompt Strike weapon, the company said.
