Western Gold Exploration Names Tom Fraser as CEO

10:04 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Western Gold Exploration (WGLD.V) appointed Tom Fraser as chief executive officer, effective immediately, it said Monday. Fraser succeeds Ross McLellan, who will remain with the company as director of operations to support the transition, said the company. Fraser most recently served as director of Metals and Mining Specialist Equity Sales at BMO Capital Markets, said the company. "We're delighted to welcome Tom, whose capital markets experience is exactly what the Company needs as we advance the Caledonian Gold Project and the Lorne Copper-Gold Porphyry Project," said Chairman Harry Dobson. The company's shares last traded Oct. 13, closing at CA$0.13 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
