Silence Therapeutics to be Acquired by Merck KGaA for $20 Per ADS

08:26 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Silence Therapeutics (SLN) said Monday it has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, Germany in an all-cash deal with an enterprise value of $1.1 billion and an equity value of about $1.3 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Silence shareholders will receive $20 in cash per American Depositary Share, with each ADS representing three ordinary shares of Silence. The acquisition is expected to close in Q1 of 2027, the company said.
