Xanadu Secures Up to $10 Million in DARPA Funding to Advance Quantum Technology Roadmap

07:37 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Xanadu Quantum Technologies (XNDU.TO) secured provisional approval for up to $10 million in project funding from the US government's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the company said Monday. Under the contract, Xanadu will provide DARPA with regular progress reports and advance critical components of a research and development roadmap as part of DARPA's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI). "Ongoing participation in QBI reinforces Xanadu's goal of developing quantum computing solutions that deliver practical value across industries, including drug discovery, advanced chemistry, aerospace, defense, and AI," said Christian Weedbrook, Xanadu's founder and chief executive officer.
