06:23 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Uber Technologies (UBER) secured the dismissal of related lawsuits brought by London black cab drivers and two former private hire companies, a company spokesperson said Monday in an emailed statement to MTNewswires. The lawsuits, filed in 2024 and valued at around 340 million pounds sterling ($453.2 million), alleged that Uber provided misleading and inaccurate information to Transport for London to obtain a private hire vehicle operating licence in the capital, Reuters reported Monday. Uber denied the allegations and argued that the lawsuits were brought after the six-year limitation period for filing such claims, according to the report. "We are pleased that the court has dismissed all of these claims entirely at the earliest opportunity and the ruling today has put these legacy matters firmly in the past," an Uber spokesperson said.
