Hilton, Scandic Hotels Agree to Multi-Year Development Deal

05:42 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Hilton Worldwide (HLT) and Scandic Hotels have agreed to a multi-year development deal covering Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland, the companies said Monday. The partnership combines Scandic's Nordic market position with Hilton's brand portfolio, generating new hotel project possibilities in the four Scandinavian countries, the companies said. The companies said the arrangement does not involve a broad conversion of Scandic's existing hotel portfolio. The two companies are already pursuing a new 284-room Hilton Hotels & Resorts project expected to open in 2029 near Copenhagen Airport, the companies said. Hilton and Scandic also plan to introduce new benefits for members of their Hilton Honors and Scandic Friends loyalty programs, with details to be announced later, the companies said. Financial terms were not disclosed.
