Sysco Reaches Agreement With Los Angeles Trade Unions to End Strike

04:13 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Sysco (SYY) has reached an agreement with Teamsters Locals 630 and 848, which represent its warehouse workers and delivery partners, respectively, to end a strike in the Los Angeles area, the company said late Thursday. The strike began on Oct. 11 over a disagreement about contract language proposed by the company. In a statement on Monday, the union said it was willing to accept Sysco's economic offer but wanted the food distributor to retain language used in the previous 10 contracts. Details of the agreement were not disclosed.
