Kits Eyecare Chief Operating Officer Joseph Thompson Shifts to Advisory Role

05:21 PM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Kits Eyecare (KITS.TO) co-founder Joseph Thompson has transitioned from chief operating officer to an advisory role, the company said after trade on Thursday. Roger Hardy continues as co-founder, board chair and chief executive officer. Tai Silvey, who was appointed president of the company last April, leads operations. Ibrahim Kamar was appointed chief financial officer in April, a statement said. The company has delivered over five-million orders, serves more than 1.1-million customers and has surpassed a CA$250 million annualized revenue run rate since its founding eight years ago, Hardy added. "Succession planning has been a priority for the Board, and this transition reflects that approach," said Nick Bozikis, lead independent director of Kits. "Gradually transitioning from a founder-led operating team to a dedicated leadership team comprised of experienced professionals is a natural step for a business of KITS' size, and the Board has full confidence in the team now leading it," Bozikis added. Kits Eyecare shares closed up CA$0.41 at CA$16.67 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
