Bombardier to Invest $50 Million in Wichita Operations

04:39 PM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bombardier (BBD-B.TO, BBD-A.TO) after trade Thursday said it is investing about $50 million at its Wichita, Kansas, operations to expand the site's capabilities and support future growth. The investment includes a new Learning Center, the company's first dedicated training facility for newly hired aircraft technicians and mechanics from across the US, it said, adding that "the program will foster continuous learning and provide employees with a strong foundation for their careers at Bombardier." The investment also includes the recently expanded Wheel and Tire Shop, which features modern equipment and employee training, the company said. "Together, these investments in people, capabilities and infrastructure strengthen Bombardier's American footprint and will position Wichita for continued growth," the company added. Shares of Bombardier closed up 7.1% to CA$310.59 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
