  • XDC Network selects Concordium to verify owners of AI agents.
  • Verified agents receive on-chain badges while personal data stays private.
  • The partnership includes revenue sharing and sponsored network fees.

XDC Network has selected Concordium as the exclusive identity verification provider for XDC AI, its agent payments marketplace, in a move aimed at improving accountability for artificial intelligence agents conducting financial transactions.

Announced on October 14, 2026, the integration allows AI agents on XDC AI to receive an on-chain verification badge confirming that a verified individual or business stands behind them, without publicly revealing the owner’s identity.

XDC Network is a Layer-1 blockchain focused on payments, trade finance, and real-world assets.

XDC AI, launched in July 2026, enables AI agents to use non-custodial wallets to discover and pay for services in USDC through the x402 payment standard.

The integration adds an identity verification mechanism intended to help businesses and institutions establish who is accountable for an agent before allowing it to conduct transactions.

Concordium introduces verified ownership for AI agents

Under the new system, agent owners can complete identity verification through the Concordium Wallet.

The process involves submitting a passport and completing a liveness check conducted by an independent identity provider.

Owners then link their XDC wallets using two signatures that do not transfer funds and register their agents.

Concordium subsequently issues a publicly verifiable badge, while personal information remains off-chain.

According to the announcement, identity disclosure requires a court order and joint action by independent Privacy Guardians.

Atul Khekade, co-founder of XDC Network, said the integration addresses the need for institutions to identify who stands behind an AI agent before trusting it with financial transactions.

He added that the verification system allows developers to establish accountability without placing personal information on the blockchain.

Boris Bohrer-Bilowitzki, chief executive officer of Concordium, said payment capabilities alone do not establish who is responsible for an agent’s actions.

He said the partnership combines XDC’s transaction infrastructure with verification of the individuals or businesses behind participating agents.

XDC becomes Concordium’s first full-network integration

Concordium already supports AI agent verification on Ethereum and Solana, with XDC becoming its first full-network integration.

The companies said agents can retain their existing XDC wallets, code, and operations while using Concordium for identity verification.

This allows the identity layer to be added without requiring agents to replace their existing wallets or operational infrastructure.

The partnership also includes revenue sharing for each agent verification. Every verified agent creates a Concordium account linked to a verified owner.

Network fees are sponsored, removing the requirement for developers to hold CCD tokens to use the verification service.

The arrangement is intended to make verification accessible to developers while providing an additional accountability mechanism for AI agents operating within the marketplace.

However, the announcement does not specify the financial terms of the revenue-sharing agreement or disclose the number of agents expected to use the service.

Verification aims to support institutional adoption

The integration comes as AI agents gain capabilities to discover services and conduct transactions with limited direct human involvement.

In such settings, identifying the individual or business responsible for an agent can be an important consideration for organisations assessing whether to grant it financial authority.

XDC Network’s marketplace already supports agent payments in USDC.

Concordium’s verification layer adds a way to establish a link between an agent and a verified owner while keeping that owner’s personal information private by default.

The companies said agent verification is now available through the XDC AI website, with developer documentation provided through its technical documentation portal.

The integration expands Concordium’s presence across blockchain networks and gives XDC AI users an additional mechanism for verifying agent ownership.

Its broader adoption will depend on how developers and institutions incorporate identity verification into their agent-based payment workflows.

Just bet on AI and already faced a market blow! Berkshire reports earnings tonight, Abel faces a major test in his transformation

Greg Abel has been leading Berkshire Hathaway for less than a year, yet he has already made a bet of over $10.9 billion on the AI sector, marking a complete break from Buffett’s traditional avoidance of tech stocks. However, Alphabet’s stock price has fallen below their initial purchase cost, and Bending Spoons continues to decline, putting this bold AI gamble to the test. At the same time, third-quarter earnings per share are expected to drop 6% year-over-year, and the share repurchase program is likely to plummet from $4.5 billion to $1.6 billion. How to deploy $358 billion in cash will be a major challenge for the new leader’s capital allocation skills.

Has the AI bubble burst? Goldman Sachs: It's more like 1998 than 2000 right now

The Goldman Sachs trading desk stated that the current wave of sell-offs resembles the 1998 liquidity crisis more than the bursting of the 2000 bubble. It is a forced deleveraging rather than a refutation of business fundamentals. The market is drastically repricing construction financing and timeline expectations, rather than underlying demand. Moreover, the issues currently drawing the most attention from the market—electricity and licensing—are actually the least important, as limited supply does not equate to disappearing demand. The real question that needs to be answered is whether long-term revenues can ultimately justify the capital invested.
