Freegold Advances to Pre-Feasibility Study For Golden Summit Project in Alaska

MT newswireMT newswire2026/10/15 15:16
11:16 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Freegold (FVL.TO) said on Thursday that the most recent results from its Golden Summit project in Alaska have defined a focused starting point for the 2027 pre-feasibility study. The latest results also featured extensive runs of gold mineralization and higher-grade intervals, a statement added. Drilling at the Dolphin area of the project featured mineralization extending for 79.3 meters at 1.11 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 21 meters at 5.77 g/t of gold, with 3.1 meters at 32.7 g/t of gold. Freegold is moving to a pre-feasibility study to develop more detailed engineering and capital-cost estimates. It said that the more than 58,000 meters drilled so far this year supports the study and future development work. "Golden Summit advanced on every major front this year, led by the largest drill program in the project's history, with more than 100 holes completed to date. Our strategy is focused, disciplined and designed to unlock value in stages. The PFS's development concept centres on a smaller pit--not the full scale of the current deposit--creating the potential for a more manageable capital profile and faster capital payback," said Freegold Chief Executive Officer Kristina Walcott. Freegold shares were last seen edging up CA$0.03 to CA$0.93 on the Toronto Stock Exchange. Price: 0.93, Change: +0.03, Percent Change: +3.33
