Across manufacturers, retailers and merchant wholesalers, inventories were up 0.8% month-over-month at $2.76 trillion for July. "U.S. Business Inventories Climbed in July," at 10:14 a.m. ET on Sept. 16, incorrectly said the amount was $2.76 billion.
