Immunocore Doses First Patient in Phase 1 Trial of Type 1 Diabetes Therapy

08:15 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Immunocore (IMCR) said Thursday it dosed the first patient in a Phase 1 trial of IMC-S118AI, an investigational therapy for type 1 diabetes. The bispecific molecule is designed to selectively suppress immune attacks on insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells, it said. Immunocore said the trial will evaluate safety, pharmacokinetics and clinical activity in patients with the HLA-A*02:01 genetic marker. The candidate aims to preserve beta cells and insulin production, it added.
