Krystal Biotech Says KB113 Demonstrates Significant Regression in Lesions in Gorlin Syndrome Pilot Study

MT newswireMT newswire2026/10/15 11:40
07:40 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Krystal Biotech's (KRYS) pilot study of KB113 as a treatment for basal cell carcinomas or BCC in patients with Gorlin syndrome demonstrated a substantial regression in lesions, the company said Thursday. Three adult patients were enrolled in the study and all three showed broad antitumor responses, with over 80% of assessed BCC lesions shrinking in size, Krystal Biotech said. Significant regression was also observed in lesions that were not directly injected with KB113, consistent with an abscopal effect, the company added. The injections were also well tolerated, with mild to moderate adverse events, according to the statement. Krystal Biotech said it has started discussions with the US Food and Drug Administration for KB113's advanced clinical development as a treatment for Gorlin syndrome.
