TC Transcontinental to Close Owen Sound Printing Facility

05:58 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- TC Transcontinental (TCL-A.TO, TCL-B.TO) will close its printing facility in Owen Sound, Ontario, at the end of January 2027 as it optimizes its integrated national printing network. The closure is expected to affect about 360 employees, the company said Wednesday. The decision was made as a result of productivity improvements and changes in the product mix, allowing for the consolidation of production in other facilities. Following the closure, about 40% of TC Transcontinental's workforce remain in Ontario, with other operations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
